Ferrari 328 - car review

The model Ferrari 328 is a 2-seater sports car, which was produced by the Italian car company Ferrari from spring 1985 to 1989. This model replaced the previously released Ferrari 308 sports car. The Ferrari 328 was originally, like its predecessor, offered in two body styles: the Berlinetta coupe (GTB - Gran Turismo Berlinetta) and the Spyder with a targa roof (GTS - Gran Turismo Spyder).

The chassis, which was based on the model Ferrari 328, was borrowed from the 308th model. The frame of the car was made of tubular steel. The sports car had front and rear independent suspensions, with spring springs. Ferrari 328 cars were equipped with new, at that time, 32-valve V8 Tipo F105 CB engines with a volume of 3.2 liters. The power of such a power unit was 270 hp at 7000 rpm (for the American market, the engine power was 260 hp).

The engine was equipped with a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system. Some elements of the power unit Tipo F105 CB, in contrast to the previous model engine Tipo F105 AB, were made of aluminum. As for the transmission, there was installed a 5-speed manual gearbox. Such technical equipment allowed the sport car to show good performance in relation to the dynamics of acceleration and maximum speed. Model Ferrari 328 GTB could accelerate to 97 km / h in just 5.5 seconds, and the maximum speed of the car was 267 km / h. It is worth noting that the design of the Ferrari 328, as well as the Ferrari 308, was done by the Italian studio Pninfarina.

Therefore, the concept of the exterior of these cars is similar, but there are differences. The main changes in the exterior include the following: updated bumper, revised front optics and some changes in the shape of the front and rear. The interior of the Ferrari 328 has also been redesigned. The car received new leather seats, updated door panels and center console, as well as a new dashboard. In 1988, both versions of the Ferrari 328 began to be equipped with the ABS system as standard. It was possible to distinguish models with ABS on more convex wheel disks.

Production of both versions of the Ferrari 328 continued until the end of 1989, and they were replaced by a model called the Ferrari 348.
