The C3 Picasso is a compact minivan. The fourth car in the dynasty of Citroen, which bears the name Picasso. It was first shown at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008. Sales began in the first quarter of 2009. Built on the platform of Peugeot 207 and has with it a common wheelbase (2540 mm). The “predecessor” of the model is considered the C-Cactus concept car, shown in September 2007.
With its proportions 4078 mm in length, 1624 mm in height and ground clearance of 174 mm, the C3 Picasso resembles a small trailer. The car has a rather original exterior. Designed by Carlos Bonzanigo, the author of the sedan Citroen C6.
A high massive front part with a large grille and expressive “eyes” - headlights add distinctiveness, and an unusual windshield with sectors flowing to the sidewalls adds charm to the car. Asymmetrically divided in the proportions of 60:40 and having the backrest tilt adjustment, the rear seats turn into a flat platform with a flick of the wrist. Moreover, they can be displaced in the longitudinal direction by 15 cm, thereby increasing or decreasing legroom or space for luggage.
When fully seated in places, the capacity of the luggage compartment is from 385 l. And due to the shift of the rear seats forward loading space increases to an impressive 500 liters. Moreover, if you fold the seat of the 2nd row ("in the floor"), the capacity of the cargo compartment reaches 1505 liters. The standard equipment also has a removable raised floor, under which there is another niche that provides additional opportunities for placing small items in the luggage compartment. In the Russian market, the Citroen C3 Picasso is offered in two basic versions, equipped with one of two petrol power units: a volume of 1.4 l / 95 hp.

Along with the systems generally accepted for this class of cars, the Comfort package includes side airbags and curtain airbags for head protection. Major changes have not happened, but cosmetic changes in appearance are obvious and they are all concentrated in the front. Salon restyled C3 Picasso has remained the same, but is offered with an additional option of the combined finishes of fabric and leather. The novelty differs from its predecessor in innovative technical solutions. Specialists have installed a proprietary satellite system eMyWay: you can easily connect a rear view camera to it. The engines for the model remained the same.
The compact will still be equipped with two 1.4 VTi petrol engines with 95 hp.
