The Fiat Argenta is a large family sedan car that was produced by the Italian car company Fiat from 1981 to 1986. In fact, it was an updated and renamed version of the Fiat 132, which was released before. Compared to the Fiat 132, the following changes can be distinguished: the new trim (including the dashboard), new rectangular headlights and turn signals, as well as a new grille, side mirrors and side plastic panels on the doors. Model Argenta has become and a little more. The wheelbase of the Fiat Argenta was 2558 mm (from Fiat 132 - 2557 mm), length - 4449 mm (4405 mm), width - 1650 mm (1640 mm), height - 1420 mm (1422 mm). For the car was offered four engine options.

The list of proposed power units included three gasoline engines and one diesel engine. All engines have already been installed on the Fiat 132 model. The list included the following options: a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 90 hp, a 2-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 113 hp. and its improved version with a Bosch L-jetronic fuel injector with a capacity of 122 hp., as well as a 2.5 liter diesel engine with a power of 75 hp. Some injector 2-liter versions were fitted with an electronic ignition system Digiplex. In 1984, the car Fiat Argenta has undergone some changes, which mainly affected the exterior.

The car received a new grille, and a protective arc was installed, which was attached to the rear axle. The front axle is 40 mm wider. The car began to be equipped with new rims with chrome emblems on them. But some minor changes also affected the car interior. The most basic, which is worth noting is the new color scheme of finishes and seat design.

Also this year, two new power units were proposed for the car, namely: a 2.5-liter turbo diesel with a capacity of 90 hp. and a 135 hp turbocharged gasoline engine, which was borrowed from the Lancia Volumex. Fiat Argenta models equipped with a 135-horsepower turbocharged engine were called the Fiat Argenta VX. In 1986, the production of Fiat Argenta was discontinued. And in its place came a new model called the Fiat Croma, the release of which lasted until 1996.
