At the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, Peugeot, in cooperation with Mitsubishi, unveiled its new product - the 4008 crossover. The car, which is essentially a Japanese “parquet” SUV Mitsubishi ASX with a modified design, replaced the Peugeot 4007, which was completed in March 2012. The platform for the 4008 is a shortened platform of the Model 4007.
The wheelbase is 2.67 m and the wide gauge of 1,545 mm in the front and 1,540 mm in the rear are kept unchanged. External dimensions: length 4340 mm (295 mm less than the Peugeot 4007), width - 1800 mm, height - 1 630 mm. Trunk volume with a spare wheel - 416 liters. The lines and proportions of the new car most reflect its technical characteristics, dynamic qualities and readiness for any road. The new style of the Peugeot brand is expressed in a sleek body and design: there are LED lights in the front that surround the main headlights. Taillights are made in the form of three red rays.
Off-road component of the design is manifested in the vertical design of the grille and door sills and wheel arches. The interior has been improved by using a wide range of materials, a soft-touch front panel and dashboard visor, as well as a lacquered lining of the center console. There are options for a complete set of fabric, combination and leather trim. One of the main features of the crossover is a panoramic glass roof, available in top of the range, which allows you to fill the interior with light, which enhances the passengers a sense of spaciousness and comfort.
By the way, in the rear seats, even in the base version, there is an LED light for reading in the dark. The front seats are very wide. However, there is plenty of space between the driver and the front passenger.
The lower space in the back row is not just enough - it will be comfortable even for tall adults. Climate control in the cabin Peugeot 4008 is equipped with a single-zone automatic climate control with mechanical or automatic control, which can cool the glove box, as well as a cabin filter. The front seats can be electrically adjustable and equipped with 2-stage heating.
The interior of the new Peugeot 4008 is thought out to the smallest detail, practical and well thought-out compartments for things deserve special mention. In the Peugeot 4008 engine range, there are four units - two petrol (1.6 liters, 114 hp and 2.0 liters, 150 hp) and two diesel (1.6 liters, 110 hp and 1) , 8 liters, 150 hp) of the engine, which are paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT, or with a 6-speed "mechanics", respectively. Russian sales of the crossover started in April 2012, we are supplied exclusively with all-wheel drive versions with a 2.0-liter 150-horsepower gasoline engine, paired with a 5-speed manual and a CVT. In terms of environmental performance, this engine meets modern Euro-5 standards.
To optimize fuel consumption, reduce harmful emissions and noise by reducing the engine idle time, a stop and start system can be installed on the vehicle. Peugeot 4008 has the highest level of security due to its excellent equipment and controllability. Basic active safety equipment includes anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), emergency braking assistance (EBA), dynamic stability control (ESP), Hill Start Assist lift assistance system (HSA ).
