The Subaru B9 Tribeca is a four-wheel-drive, five-seater or seven-seat SUV of the E-class. The car is built on an extended Subaru Outback platform. The debut of the model took place at the Detroit Auto Show in 2005.
Later, the company Subaru decided to remove the designation B9 from the name, now the car is called easier - Subaru Tribeca. By the way, the model was named in honor of the fashionable district of New York. It is produced at the plant Subaru of Indiana Automative (SIA) Lafayette, Indiana. The advantages of the Tribeca are: modern design, stylish spacious futuristic interior, good equipment, outstanding dynamic performance, reliability and high build quality. The front part of the car is dominated by a three-part grille and strongly “stretched” headlights, in the side line there are swollen wheel arches. Tribeca has the largest cargo space in the Subaru model range. The second row of seats is pushed back by about 200 mm, providing considerable roominess. Depending on the number of passengers and the amount of luggage, the second row of seats can be easily hidden by getting additional space. One of the advantages is the presence of a third row of seats, allowing you to carry up to seven passengers.
The front panel smoothly bends in the center console area, the controls neatly fit into the overall design, without losing their functionality. The tachometer and speedometer are separated from each other, which emphasizes the depth and three-dimensional design of the toolbar. Like all Subaru, the Tribeca is a four-wheel-drive crossover and comes with an opposite V6.
The power unit for cars of the first years of release was offered only one of 3 l / 245 hp in combination with the 5-band "automatic". Four-wheel drive (AWD) provides stability and constant control over the car, giving the crossover excellent maneuverability. Thanks to 213 mm ground clearance, the movement is comfortable even on uneven surfaces. The Tribeca is one of the few vehicles that received the highest safety rating from the American Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA). According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), Subaru Tribeca entered the list of the best "family" cars of 2006.
In 2007, the updated Subaru Tribeca 2008 model year was presented at the New York Auto Show. The new generation Tribeca is equipped with a 3.6 liter horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, which develops 256 hp. at 6000 rpm Its performance compared with the previous 3.0-liter engine has improved markedly. The power unit received a number of significant improvements, which led to a significant increase in torque, efficiency and durability.
