The premiere of the Hyundai XG as a prototype took place in 1998 in Paris, and the production car was lit a few months later at the Seoul auto show. All models are equipped only with V6 petrol engines with a working volume of 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 liters, with an output of 163 hp, 188 hp, 197 hp, respectively. with the latter two - only with hydromechanical adaptive 5-speed "automatic" type ZF Tiptronic. In 2004, held a facelift. The numerical designation of the sedan has also changed - previously the rounded engine size (cm3) was reduced by 100 times, and it turned out XG 25 or 30, and it became XG 250 and 300. In March 2005, Hyundai introduced the sedan, according to the European classification, falling into the “E” segment, which will be named Hyundai Grandeur.
