Fiat Scudo is a mid-size minibus, which was first introduced in 1995. It is larger than the Fiat Doblo and smaller than the Fiat Ducato. Standard passenger modification 'Combinato' is very popular and is quite widely used by taxi services. It accommodates up to seven people. The appearance of the car is similar to the Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert. The capacity of the first generation Fiat Scudo car was 900 kg, and the space inside the car was 4 m³ with a cabin length of 2,059 mm.
The distance between the wheel arches was 1220 mm, which made it possible to load two euro pallets into the car. For the first generation Fiat Scudo, initially three types of engines were offered: a diesel power unit with a volume of 1.9 liters and a capacity of 68 hp, a 2-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 89 hp. In 2004, the list of proposed engines was expanded. Attention buyers were offered four engine options: three diesel power units and one gasoline engine.
The 2-liter gasoline engine developed a power equal to 134 hp. The list of diesel engines were: a diesel power unit with a volume of 1.9 liters and a power of 68 hp. and two 2-liter turbo diesel JTD 93 hp and 108 hp .. In 2007, a new generation Fiat Scudo minibus called Panorama was introduced.
When designing the exterior design, the designers relied on the exterior of Fiat Ducato. In general, the concept of the new Scudo is spaciousness, convenience and visual appeal. If we talk about spaciousness, the total amount of luggage will be 770 liters. Capacity and carrying capacity of the car have been increased. The volume of the internal space of the car is from 5 to 7 m³, and the load capacity has increased to 1,200 kg. The car now holds up to 9 passengers.
Naturally, this space will increase significantly if the second and third row of seats are folded or dismantled. The second feature is convenience, it implies comfort in the cabin, ergonomic controls, ease of driving. Scudo Panorama is available in two trim levels: Panorama Family - for couples with children and Panorama Executive - for use as a client car. Executive differs, among other things, the possibility of a separate adjustment of the air conditioner for each row of seats.
